CIH Conference and Exhibition
Norscot recently attended the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Conference & Exhibition that was held in the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre.
The annual conference and exhibition, now in its sixth year, is Scotland’s most established social housing and regeneration event bringing together professionals and decision makers from across the country.
With over 800 delegates and around 100 exhibitors and sponsors in attendance it is regarded as the must attend event by everyone involved in the public sector, delivering mixed communities, affordable housing management, sustainability, development and regeneration and the wider social issues affecting neighbourhoods and communities.
It gave us the chance to meet various committee members, specifiers and buyers for the whole of the Scottish public housing sector under one roof. Understanding their needs better, whether their priority was safety, security, maintenance, exposed location or environmental.
However, competition for the attention of the delegates was strong with some of our biggest, window and door competitors in attendance.
This year Norscot was the only window and door fabricator to deliver a presentation in the exhibitions Mini Theatre. The subject of the presentation was ‘Sustainability of PVC’, and was given by Callum Grant and Gordon MacRae; the presentation was well received by all those in attendance.
Again, Norscot ran a free prize draw for a bottle of ‘Old Pulteney’ Malt Whisky to all who visited our stand and this year’s lucky winner was Charles French, a tenant representative of Moray Council.
